Youth Congress activists hoisted black flags at Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s convoy in Alva on Friday, as part of their protest over the gold smuggling issue. According to the police, five workers of YC have been detained in connection with the incident.
Carrying black flags, the protestors tried to obstruct the traffic and shouted slogans against the chief minister demanding his resignation in connection with the gold smuggling controversy. .
A few weeks ago, there were massive protests in the southern state after the key accused in the gold smuggling case, Swapna Suresh, leveled serious charges against the chief minister and his family in the smuggling case.
