CM Yogi Adityanath said that people will be trained and linked to employment or self-employment as per need.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday said his government will employ at least one person in every family in the state, for which a skill mapping exercise will be launched.
During skill mapping, data will be generated for households where there is no employee. Members of such families will be linked to a special program and at least one member of the family will get employment,” he said at a job fair here. “As per the need, people will be trained and engaged in employment or self-employment. No family in the state will be deprived of employment.
The Chief Minister said that the BJP twin-engine government at the state and the Center has launched several programs like Skill India and Startup India to recognize the skills and potential of workers. He claimed that the state government has given jobs to 5 lakh youth and 6 million artisans have got loans during the last five years. “In 2015-16, the unemployment rate in the state was over 18 per cent. It has now come down to over 16 per cent and currently stands at 2.7 per cent,” claimed the CM.
Adityanath said that UP has taken steps towards becoming a USD1 trillion economy, which will contribute to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ambition of making India a USD5 trillion economy. In 2016, UP’s economy was ranked sixth in the country and has now moved up to second. Per capita income and GDP have doubled over the past five years. Youth, artisans and workers are on the path of self-reliance,” claimed the CM.
