Supreme Court Has Voted Down Roe v. Wade

here's a strong indication that the right to an abortion in America is being struck down after five decades of protection.

According to what appears to be an unprecedented leak from the Supreme Court, the conservative majority has preliminarily voted to overturn Roe v. Wade

50 years of precedent, and a woman’s right to choose in an expected, but nonetheless shocking blow to reproductive rights in America.

Roe was egregiously wrong from the start,” Associate Justice Samuel Alito, a George W. Bush appointee,

wrote in a draft majority opinion in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, which was obtained by Politico late Monday.

Its reasoning was exceptionally weak, and the decision has had damaging consequences.

It is time to heed the Constitution,” Alito continued,” and return the issue of abortion to the people’s elected representatives.

This is not a published ruling, and justices could still change their votes before the Supreme Court issues its final decision, which is expected to come down in June.

The Constitution does not prohibit the citizens of each State from regulating or prohibiting abortion,” Alito concluded.
