Twitter reaction to Sushila Devi Lakmabam winning India’s 7th medal at Birmingham 2022

Sushila Devi Lakmabam was in superb form throughout the day, first defeating Malawi’s Harriet Bonface by epon and then mauritius’ Priscilla Morand with the highest score possible in a judo match.

The 27-year-old judoka hails from Hanging Mai Lekai in Imphal East District. Born in 1995, he is the second of four children. Right from the start, Sushila showed signs of being a champion in competitions ranging from local to the prestigious Commonwealth Games.
