Spinner Tabriz Shamsi emerged as the match-winner as he took five wickets to help his team bowl out England for just 101 runs to win their final T20I by 90 runs. The South African bowlers stunned the English batsmen in the series decider as the home side stumbled in a chase of 192 runs. Thus, the Proteas won the three-match series 2-1.

Shamsi’s wrist spin held Liam Livingstone, Sam Curran and David Willey responsible, who were bowled on the first ball to set up a hat-trick chance that was denied by Chris Jordan.
But Shamsi’s exceptional bowling performance did not stop him from picking up wickets as he trapped Jordan leg-first in his last over. Later, Adil Rashid also had no answer to Shamsi’s delivery as he was caught out on the boundary. Shamsi became the ‘Player of the Match’ as he took 5-24 in four overs.
England’s batsmen failed to perform well with the bat as they quickly fell behind the required run rate and failed to display any power hitting. The batsmen saw South Africa struggle to cope with the variety of bowling options.
Jonny Bairstow was the only top scorer among the batsmen with 27 runs off 30 balls. Apart from Shamsi, Keshav Maharaj also picked up two crucial wickets as he sent back Jos Buttler and Jonny Bairstow.
