“We never think about that. It’s the passion of the fans that drives them and this discussion. When you connect with an emotion, you say it all. And social media is such a platform. Where you can talk about anything. They speak their heart because there are no restrictions. That’s why people think it’s intact,” he said.

Dhumal also claimed that this debate is not new as it has always happened with players in the past.

“We saw the same with Sunil Gavaskar and Kapil Dev, or later with Sourav Ganguly and Sachin Tendulkar. On social media, things escalate to such an extent that people believe it’s all true,” Dhumal said on his YouTube. He added during a conversation with journalist Vimal Kumar on the channel.

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are the batting superstars of Indian cricket who have led India to win many matches. Over the past decade, both have been phenomenal and their stats speak for themselves.

Both Rohit and Kohli have huge fan followings and rarely do fans’ love go to such an extent that they turn their backs on the other. The Kohli vs Rohit debate has been going on for years.
