The Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica is launching in India on August 25.

Lamborghini unveiled the Huracan Tecnica, the newest member of its Huracan clan, in April this year. Five months after its global reveal, the car is now set to make its debut in India. The Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica will be launched in India on August 25.

Despite their hefty price tag, Lamborghini cars have been gaining a lot of popularity among Indian buyers of late. The company recently sold the 200th unit of its Urus SUV in the country. And, a similar response is being seen for the latest iteration of its Huracan Supercar. Despite the official launch, Lamborghini has stated that it has already started receiving bookings for the Huracan Tecnica, reports Autocar.

The new Huracan Tecnica is positioned between the standard variant of the car – the Huracan EVO – and the track-focused variant – the Huracan STO – as it has the qualities of both cars. It’s “more or less a combination” of the two, as described by Rowen Mohr, Chief Technical Officer, Lamborghini.

When it comes to performance, the Huracan Tecnica has the same features as the Huracan STO. The powertrain, a 5.2-litre, V10, naturally aspirated, has a maximum output of 640hp, with torque at 564 Nm. The engine is mated to a 7-speed, dual-clutch, automatic transmission.

The powertrain and transmission combination enables the car to zoom from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.2 seconds and take it to a top speed of 325 kmph. Handling the braking duties of this machine are the carbon ceramic disc units that come as standard.

Now, coming to the appearance of the car, the area where the most changes have been made, the supercar draws its design from Lamborghini’s Cyan Hybrid. The car has a new Y-shaped graphic below the headlamps. The car gets a full carbon fiber bonnet, hexagonal exhaust tips, and a redesigned front bumper. The car also has a fixed rear spoiler.

While the pricing is yet to be finalised, the upcoming car is likely to be priced below the Huracan STO, which retails in India at a starting price of Rs 4.99 crore (ex-showroom).
