On that day it will be decided whether Pakistan will remain in this list or not. The main meeting of the FATF is taking place today in the German capital Berlin. In which it may be decided to remove Pakistan from the gray list.

Pakistan has been on the FATF gray list since June 2018. This time the fate of Pakistan could be decided at the FATF meeting in Berlin. Pakistan’s leaders are hopeful that this time their country will be off the list. Let me tell you that the FATF meeting will be held in Berlin from 14 June to 17 June. On the last day of the meeting, June 17, the forum will decide which countries should be included in its ‘black’ and ‘gray’ list.

Punishment for promoting terrorism

Pakistan has been on the FATF gray list since June 2018. Pakistan has been included in this list due to its support for terrorist organizations. Due to which various economic sanctions have been imposed on Pakistan. Due to its inclusion in this list, Pakistan is facing difficulties in obtaining financial assistance from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), World Bank, Asian Bank and European Union. Due to which many problems have increased in Pakistan.

Let me tell you that the FATF has set some rules for removing you from this list, after which a country is excluded from this list. The FATF team visits these countries every six months to see if any of the countries on the list have complied with the rules set by the agency.
