BIRMINGHAM: India produced a brilliant performance to defeat Pakistan by eight wickets in a rain-affected women’s Group A match of the 22nd Commonwealth Games here on Sunday. Opting to bat, Pakistan took 99 runs apiece with Sania Rana (2/15) and Radha Yadav (2/18) after rain reduced the match to 18 overs.

Renuka Singh (1/20), Meghna Singh (1/21) and Shafali Verma (1/8) took one wicket each. Pakistan opener Muniba Ali was the top scorer with 32 runs off 30 balls.
