A new study on climate change warns humans that the planet is approaching a “climate endgame”. Daily mail.

A team of researchers from the University of Cambridge has claimed that the increasing level of global heating could lead to nuclear war in the future. Not only this, global warming can also lead to a severe financial crisis or pandemic that will end by 2070.

Based on their findings, scientists are asking authorities to prepare for the worst.

Dr. Luke Kemp, lead author of the study, said that even modest levels of global warming could cause climate change to be catastrophic.

The team says four areas need immediate attention. They call it “the four horsemen of the climate endgame.”

The four horsemen are conflict, extreme weather, famine and malnutrition, and vector-borne diseases.

Scientists note that agriculturally rich regions of the world are being affected, pointing to a growing risk of a “breadbasket failure”. They believe that the global food supply is at great risk.

Extreme weather can create the perfect environment for disease to spread.

With rising temperatures and global problems, advanced AI weapons may increase.

One example the researchers give is “warm wars” where superpowers can fight over carbon space and experiment with removing sunlight to lower temperatures.

“Climate change has played a role in every mass extinction event,” Kemp remarked.

He added that climate change has shaped human history.

Their study shows that regions where extreme heat will cover more than two billion people by 2070 are also the most politically fragile and densely populated.
