Naga Chaitanya and Rashi Khanna’s Thank You Was Foolish. The romantic drama, which released on July 28, was a disaster at the box office. Social media reports suggest that the film may end its theatrical run soon and will get an early OTT premiere.
Talking about the theatrical business of this feel-good entertainer, Thank You managed to earn Rs 8 crore in Nizam territory, Rs 2.5 crore in Seeded, and Rs 9.5 crore in Andhra. Andhra and Telangana collectively earned Rs 20 crore. Apart from Karnataka, rest of India has made Rs 1.5 crore and overseas Rs 2.5 crore so far.
Thank You had a worldwide pre-release business of Rs 24 crore. Thank You entered the ring with a break-even target of Rs 25 crore. Overall, the film now stands at Rs. 20.55 crore loss.
Thank You will reportedly stream on Amazon Prime Video and Sun starting August 12. Official information in this regard is yet to come.
Directed by Vikram Kumar, the film stars Naga Chaitanya and Rashi Khanna in lead roles. The film also stars Avika Gore, Malvika Nair, and Prakash Raj in pivotal roles. This marks the third collaboration between Naga Chaitanya and Vikram Kumar after Thank You Manam and the web series Dhootha.
Written by BVS Ravi, the camera is handled by PC Sriram. Dil Raju and Shresh have bankrolled the project under the banner Sri Venkateswara Creations.
Naga Chaitanya is also awaiting the release of his Bollywood debut Lal Singh Chadha, starring Aamir Khan. He also has an untitled film with Venkat Prabhu.
