Indian cyclist Murray Lovett finished 18th in the women’s 500m time trial final at the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games with a time of 36.868 seconds.

Murry Lovett bounced back to finish 18th in the women’s 500m time trial final as Indian cyclists continued to struggle at the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games on Sunday.

Lute clocked 36.868s to finish near the bottom of the 20-cycler final.

Australia’s Christina Cloonen took the gold medal in 33.234 seconds.

Another Indian, Vishwajit Singh, did not make it to the finals of the men’s 15 km scratch race.

Earlier in the day, top Indian cyclist Ronaldo Lightonjam lost to Australia’s Matthew Glatzer in the pre-quarterfinals of the men’s sprint event.

The 20-year-old Indian covered 200 meters in 10.011 seconds, 0.162 seconds behind Glatzer.

Litonjam had previously finished 13th in the qualifying round at Lee Valley Velo Park with a 10.012.

His teammates David Beckham (10.120) and Esso Albin (10.361) finished 18th and 23rd in the qualifying round.

Lithunjam won a silver medal in the senior category sprint event at the Asian Track Championships in New Delhi in June.
