Hobart: South African batsman Mignon du Preez on Thursday re-signed with the Hobart Hurricanes ahead of the eighth season of the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL), making her second in a row in the purple jersey next season.
Last season, she finished as the highest run-scorer for the Hurricanes with 414 runs at a strike rate of 115, including an unbeaten 87 off just 61 balls against the Sydney Thunder. .
Mignon will be joined by her fellow South African, former international opener Liesel Lee, and newly announced captain, Australia’s Elise Villani. Ironically, she played with the pair during her time at the Melbourne Stars.
