Katrina Monzol will referee the women’s Euro 2022 final between England and Germany at Wembley on Sunday, European football’s governing body UEFA has announced.
The 41-year-old Ukrainian is her country’s first referee to take charge of a women’s Euro final.

A veteran official, Monzul was also the first woman to referee England’s men’s game when she oversaw a World Cup qualifier against Andorra in October 2021.
Before that, she had already made history in 2016 as the first female referee for Ukraine Men’s Premier League matches.
Monzol has also officiated at three Women’s World Cups, including refereeing the 2015 final when the USA beat Japan 5-2, as well as the men’s Europa League and Europa Conference League and Nations League. Also in the matches.
