Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Sunday said that if Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut is innocent, he should not fear action against the Enforcement Directorate (ED). If so, why are they afraid of investigation? let it happen If you are innocent, why fear?” ED searched Rawat’s residence in Mumbai on Sunday in connection with the money laundering case.
In a tweet after the agency started searching his place, Rawat said, “I swear by late Balasaheb Thackeray that I have nothing to do with any scam,” Shiv Sena leader Arjun Khotkar. Another BJP leader and former MP Kurt Soumya said Rawat is currently under investigation, and no charges have been filed against him. “He should not make any political comments now. If he is found involved (in any irregularity), he should face action.”
