Liverpool: Away against a newly promoted team shouldn’t be too difficult for the Reds as they start their season. Darwin Nunez made a goal-scoring start to life at Anfield and will be hoping to open his league account in record time as well. Sadio Mane will be missed, but the Uruguayan looks a good fit and should complement the fully focused Mo Salah well. The disappointment from last campaign’s UEFA Champions League final defeat will be largely over and Klopp’s men will be looking to improve on the recent push for success on all fronts.

Choose: Liverpool should win this one although opening day matches are sometimes tougher than expected. The visitors will probably win by a goal or two, but the floodgates are unlikely to open this early in the season. Fulham will look to take heart from their close run and Silva’s men need to be prepared for any potential rustiness.
