The United States men’s national team will see the summer international break end with a tour of Estadio Cuscatlan on Tuesday night to face El Salvador in the Concacaf Nations League game. The Americans are unbeaten this summer, having beaten Morocco and drawn Uruguay in friendly matches before beating Grenada 5-0 on Friday night to begin their Nations League campaign as they did last year. Want to defend the title. Jesus Ferreira scored four goals in the game and will hope to continue in a match that will be a major test for Greg Berhalter’s staff.

El Salvador: La Selecta played Grenada in just two matches and could not beat them in both, which is very clear. After winning 3-1 at home, they were able to draw Grenada only 2-2 which is a relevant result, requiring a penalty kick and a late goal to save a point. By repeating this form here, they will be seen struggling to get something out of this match. The defense must be clean and vigilant, otherwise their night will be long against a swift US attack.

USMNT: Berhalter announced on Monday that Ethan Horwath would start with a goal, and this is a great opportunity for the player who played such a big role against Mexico when the team won the Concaf Nations League last summer. Having not had much time to play with Nottingham Forest, he has had the opportunity to cement himself as the third goalkeeper, although Sean Johnson has also recently helped his goal. The question is whether El Salvador can produce enough to really threaten him. Otherwise expect a lot of rotation for this squad as Berhalter aims to focus on as many players as possible.

It’s ugly, dirty and sometimes hard to see. Sometimes that is the life at Concacaf, but the electronic environment should help the home team stay hungry after the last disappointment. El Salvador knows he can get something out of this game, and I think he can hardly get it. Choose: USMNT 1, El Salvador 1
