Day 2 of John Abraham, Arjun Kapoor, Disha Patani and Tara Sataria starrer Ek Villain Returns is here. The film, directed by Mohit Suri, is the second installment in the Ek Villain franchise and has received mixed reviews from critics. But, it is holding steady at the box office. On his second day. That means the film saw a slight increase in its numbers on Saturday.
On Saturday, a villain returns collected Rs. 7.47 crore at the box office, just a few lakhs more than its opening day collection. 7.05 Crores in two days the total collection of the film is Rs.100000. 14.52 crore while the film saw a slight increase in multiplexes, it saw a decline in mass pockets and single screens. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote, “#EkVillainReturns collects in similar range on Day 2… Marginal increase at national chains, but massive pockets… All eyes on Day 3… Fri 7.05 cr, Sat 7.47 cr Total: ₹ 14.52 crore #India biz See tweet here:

Going by the trend, it looks like the film will not cross the 25 crore mark in its first weekend and will collect somewhere between Rs. 21-23 crores. The film is in an almost open run so far, with the second release, Kacha Sudeepa’s pan-India film Vikrant Rona, releasing in limited theatres. Last week’s Ranbir Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor starrer Shamsheera also flopped at the box office. We wonder if a villainous return will manage to stay stable.
