A Delhi court on Thursday rejected the bail plea of former Mumbai police commissioner Sanjay Pandey in a money laundering case related to alleged illegal phone tapping and spying on National Stock Exchange (NSE) employees. is under arrest, a lawyer associated with the case said.
Special Judge Sunina Sharma reserved her verdict on the petition after hearing the arguments of the accused as well as the Enforcement Directorate.
The court on Tuesday sent Pandey to judicial custody when he was produced before it at the end of his custodial interrogation period as the ED said it did not require his further custody. Pandey was arrested on July 19.
