Deepika Padukone talks about Piku, shares working with Big B and Irrfan Khan was ‘gorgeous’

Deepika Padukone has been in the entertainment industry for over 15 years. During a recent media interaction, the 36-year-old actress opened up about the same and revealed that her lead role in Shoojit Sircar’s Piku holds a special place in her heart.

“There was something special about the energy in this film. I think my sister (Anisha) and I are at that age where we are Piku. There is something about Piku that is very special. And it is one of those films. is the one that keeps coming up in conversation. At the stage of life I’m in right now, that seems to be my favorite (role),” he was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.

The Ghira actress added that collaborating with Amitabh Bachchan and Irrfan Khan was also ‘beautiful’ as there was no comparison between the co-stars. “I was aware of the fact that I would be opposite these two incredible people (actors Amitabh Bachchan and Irrfan Khan) but what makes a great collaboration is when you are not competing with your co-stars. and you really invest in telling it. Good story and that’s what we’re there to do. I don’t think Irrfan was trying to be one with Mr. Bachchan or he was one on one. trying to be. It was a beautiful collaborative process and we invested in giving our best,” he added.

For Unshakable, Deepika played Piku Banerjee, a spirited woman who takes care of her father, played by Amitabh Bachchan, in the 2015 film. Late actor Irfan Khan was also in this film. The film made us laugh and yet, at the same time, emotional.

On the work front, Deepika has some exciting projects lined up. He is currently busy working on a project with Prabhas. He has completed the shooting schedule of Siddharth Anand’s Pathan opposite Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham. He also has the Hindi remake of Fighter with Hrithik Roshan and The Intern with Amitabh Bachchan.
