There will be no in-season drama regarding Debo Samuel and his contract. The All-Pro receiver and the 49ers have agreed to a three-year, $71.55 million extension (which could reach $73.5 million) that includes $58.1 million guaranteed. According to ESPN and CBS Sports Josina Anderson confirmed. The extension would make Samuel one of the league’s highest-paid receivers, a group that also includes Tyreke Hill, Deonte Adams, DeAndre Hopkins, and Cooper Kupp.

Samuel, 26, is coming off a 2021 season in which he caught 77 passes for 1,402 yards while leading the NFL with an 18.2 yards-per-catch average.
