Christopher Maldonado arrested in Texas mother Angela Mitchell for being found dead in the trunk of her own car

Authorities say a man was arrested last week in connection with the deaths of a mother of four in Texas who was found dead in the trunk of his car last month.

According to Texas City Police, Christopher Maldonado was charged with tampering with / fabricating physical evidence in connection with the death of 24-year-old Angela Lane Mitchell (human corpse).

Texas City Police and U.S. Marshals made the arrests Friday during a traffic stop.

Maldonado was the last person known to have been with Mitchell before he went missing, according to a missing persons flyer created by his loved ones.

Mitchell’s decomposed body was found inside the trunk of his white Honda sedan in Texas City on May 11 when police received a stink.

Police have not identified the cause of death, but have described the case as a “suspicious death investigation.” The Galveston County Medical Examiner is conducting an autopsy.

Police have not released the cause of death of Angela Lane Mitchell.

Mitchell’s mother reported him missing on May 6, when she failed to return to her home in Dickinson the night before.

Her mother has criticized the local police for not searching her daughter’s car early, after friends and family reported her missing on the same day. ABC13.

Georgia Mitchell told the local news channel, “I met with police officers in their car after filing a missing person report here in Texas City and I made a request to them.”

“I asked them to find my daughter’s car. Please find my daughter’s car. Please investigate. I begged. I asked the police officers and they told me. Finished.

Maldonado is being held in the Galveston County Jail on a 200,000 bond.

The Texas mother leaves behind two sons, 7 and 7 months, and two daughters, 9 and 3.
