Chelsea have agreed a deal to sign English midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka from Aston Villa, the two Premier League clubs announced on Tuesday.
Chukwuemeka has been allowed by Villa to travel to London to discuss personal terms and undergo a medical.
The 18-year-old played 12 times for Villa in the Premier League last season and most recently captained England’s under-19 side.
Media reports had linked Chukwuemeka with both Barcelona and AC Milan earlier in the transfer window.
