Akhil will be seen in action during Round 5 of the European GT4 Championship at Hockenheim, Germany from September 2-4.
Akhil Rabindran, the only Indian on the European GT4 Series grid, completed Round 4 in the silver category for his team – Racing Spirit of Leman with P9 and P7 at Circuit de Spa Francorchamps in Belgium.
Akhil started the weekend with a P7 in both Qualifying 1 and 2 followed by a P9 in Race 1 and a P7 in Race 2.
The 25-year-old, driving an Aston Martin Vantage GT4, started his campaign for the weekend on a serious note in the silver category as he took P7 in both Qualifying 1 and 2 alongside team-mate T Canning.
It was Akhil’s experience amid difficult conditions that ensured a P9 finish for him in the silver category of Race 1 with a total time of 1:02:48.282 over 22 laps. Race 2 saw Akhil and Canning finish it P7 in the Silver category with a total time of 1:02:18.072 over 19 laps.

“It’s been a tough journey for us here, but we’re learning from our mistakes. We’re also trying to improve the car for best performance and I’m sure Germany will see better results for the team,” Rabindran said after the race.
The Bengaluru-born driver will now be seen in action during Round 5 of the European GT4 Championship at Hockenheim, Germany from September 2-4.
