Para discus thrower Anish Kumar Pillai tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday, ruling him out of the Birmingham Games.
Pillai was to compete in the F44 discus throw final.
“He is asymptomatic but has tested COVID positive. The CGF has not cleared his participation because his CT value is high. It is really unfortunate because today was his final,” said one of the Indian squad. A para official told PTI.
