Shivli was in complete control of the event from the word go as he successfully completed all three of his snatch attempts.

He started his night with a first snatch attempt of 137kg which he executed to stunning perfection.

His second attempt was a 140 kg challenge. But, he made sure he got all three green lights. The Indian’s second lift was enough to put him at the top of the standings in Snitch, but, he wasn’t done yet.

He went on to his third lift, in which he attempted a lift of 143 kg. The Bengal lad made it three for three and grabbed a games record as he completed the routine in his third attempt.

His first clean-and-jerk attempt was a successful lift of 166 kg, which catapulted him to the very top of the rankings.

He set a new Games record total of 309 kg in his category with his first attempt when he was eliminated from any competition.

He pushed the boundaries further by trying to lift 170 kg in his second attempt, but could not pull it off.

But, he wasn’t ready to give up as he came back to clear the same weight in his third and final attempt.
