Instagram is probably the most used social media platform at the moment, and there are a majority of users who care a lot about their followers – who they follow, who they don’t follow, etc. Now, despite the platform being more informative than ever, finding out whether someone follows you or not is no longer as simple as opening their profile. Now, while there is no single option to see if someone is following you or not, there are several ways you can find out if someone is following you or not. Let’s take a look.
Find your Instagram followers.
The first and most obvious way to find out is to go to yours. Instagram Open the profile, list of your followers, and search for the specific person’s name. However, this only works if you are using Instagram on your phone. If you are on desktop, there is no search option while viewing the list of followers on Instagram web.
Check out Instagram DMs.
If you don’t want to be removed from your follower list, another way to find out is to go to the person’s profile, and click “Messages” to open DMs. At the top of the chat, just below the person’s name, username and followers, you’ll see “You follow each other on Instagram.” If the message says “Following this account since 20xx”, it means that the person is not following you.
The third method is the one that most people will hesitate to do. You can go to the profile, and try to unfollow that person. After unfollowing someone, you’ll see a blue “Follow” button. If it says “follow back,” that means the person is following you. It’s important to note that if the person in question has a private profile, you’ll need to send them a followback request once you’ve found them.
